Fevers and Medicine Dosing

If your child is less than 3 months old, it is worth discussing the fever with your pediatrician.  If your child is no longer a newborn, consider first reading this excellent article in the medical library of Dr. Bruce’s previous practice.

Concern about an ear infection

Treating your child’s pain and discomfort  with acetaminophen and ibuprofen is one of the best things you can do overnight. We pediatricians often take a 24-48 hour watch and wait approach with antibiotics for ear infections in children 6 months and older.  Read more about ear infections here.
