Before prescribing medications, dietary changes, or nutritional supplements, we will work together to determine root causes of your child’s symptoms so that we know which treatments will most effectively address problematic symptoms and restore health.
After getting a comprehensive history, we will use targeted labs to identify factors that may be affecting your child’s overall health. These can be as simple as routine tests to look for iron deficiency to more complex testing. We will work together to find the most cost-effective way to get tests done.
We will get a detailed history of your child’s past and current nutrition and determine if any diet alterations might help address root causes of your child’s issues. Though we will always aim to use real food to fill in gaps, there may be times when we will need to use dietary supplements.
Good sleep is critical to well-being. We will dig into what is and isn’t working and come up with a plan to hopefully get your child (and you!) sleeping better so that everyone feels rested.
Moving our bodies is not only important for physical health but is also vital to our mental health. We will assess your child’s physical activity and work together to create a plan that includes activities they love and enjoy and that work for your family.
We will assess factors that may be resulting in poor absorption of nutrients and work to improve gut health, which goes hand-in-hand with physical and emotional health.
This visit is designed to help families understand the structure and scope of services offered by Nurturing Pediatrics, to describe their general areas of concern, and to determine whether a formal consultation is a good fit. No medical advice or recommendations will be provided. This meeting is limited to 30 minutes. If, at the conclusion of the pre‑consultation, both parties wish to proceed with a formal consultation, the fee will be credited toward the first month of services.
This includes:
Two month commitment required. Payment plans and sliding scale available.
This includes everything in the above mental health consultation with additional physician time to appropriately evaluate and treat complex medical issues, including suspected PANS/PANDAS. Two month commitment required. Payment plans and sliding scale available.
If desired, we can continue working together to monitor progress, conduct follow-up lab tests (lab costs not included), and adjust the plan accordingly.
Please send an email to support@nurturingpediatrics.com if you are interested but the fees are outside of your means.
Nurturing Pediatrics is out-of-network for all insurers, meaning we do not handle insurance claims. This enables us to spend the time necessary to address medical problems. You can use HSA and FSA cards, and we can issue a receipt for services if needed.
