Before prescribing medications, dietary changes, or nutritional supplements, we will work together to determine the root causes of your child’s symptoms so that we know which treatments will most effectively address the problematic symptoms.

We look for the root causes of ADHD, anxiety, depression, and OCD as well as for symptoms such as sleep disturbances, irritability and anger, difficulty focusing or concentrating, hyperactivity, impulsivity,  fatigue, and restlessness.

In children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder as well as other neurobehavioral conditions like PANDAS and PANS, our search for root causes is augmented with IntellxxDNA genomic testing.

Lab Testing

After getting a comprehensive history, we will use targeted labs to identify factors that may be affecting your child’s overall health.  These can be as simple as routine tests to look for iron deficiency to more complex genetic testing.  We will work together to find the most cost-effective way to get tests done.

Nutrition

Nutrition

Vibrant and diverse foods demonstrating that good nutrition is vital to health and well-being.

We will get a detailed history of your child’s past and current nutrition and determine if any diet alterations might help address root causes of your child’s issues. Though we will always aim to use real food to fill in gaps, there may be times when we will need to use dietary supplements.

Sleep

Good sleep is critical to well-being.  We will dig into what is and isn’t working and come up with a plan to hopefully get your child (and you!) sleeping better so that everyone feels rested.

Physical Activity

Moving our bodies is not only important for physical health but is also vital to our mental health.  We will assess your child’s physical activity and work together to create a plan that includes activities they love and enjoy and that work for your family.

Gut Health
